Drew Brees took a risk four years ago by signing as a free agent deal to become a New Orleans Saint. In the end it all paid off for Brees and the City of New Orleans.
With the victory the only thing the Saints can do is celebrate, after all in 2005 the city of New Orleans was nearly wiped away by Hurricane Katrina. After 43 years the Saints have won the biggest game in it franchises history. This game will be remembered for the ages. Most fans were rooting for the Colts. However, the Saints beat the odds and pulled out a remarkable victory. Peyton Manning, if you think about Manning really did not play a bad game. In some instances his usually dependable receivers dropped some crucial passes. Dwight Freeney did start, but he did get one sack, nevertheless he was not a factor during the Saints victory. Coach Caldwell said, "The Colts deserved to win and they were the better team." Lets give credit to Drew Brees who played a flawless game by breaking the Super Bowl completions record. The Saint overcame an 10 point deficit. Even though the Saints won the game, they actually played for much more than that. To let the truth be known they played this one for the city of New Orleans. If the Saints never win another Super Bowl the fans of the Saints will remember this victory for the next 100 years. Furthermore, the fans will always remember Dre Brees for what he and his family has done for the city of New Orleans. Mayor Ray Nagin should elect Drew Brees as the Mayor of New Orleans for a day wouldn't that be Super! After all Brees has erased the memories of Hurricane Katrina and 43 years without a Super Bowl. Now how bout dem Saints!
